Maryland's Alabaster Box

This is my explanation of how the Bible fits into the Masonic creation of the U.S.A., of how I interpret the story of Mary's Alabaster Box and of her 'anointing' of our 'Lord and Savior.' All biblical references from the King James Bible. Any italics, bold, or underline are my additions.

Mary's Alabaster Box

Mark 14

1After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

(Masons refer to their order as 'The Craft' notice in chapter 1)

2But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

(Bethany is Hebrew for 'House of Misery')
(There in chapter 3 is the word 'house' and a leper, signifying misery)

Above is an example of an Alabaster Box

Below is an example of Spikenard Berries

Description and Uses: Spikenard is an ancient oil, used for spiritual and medicinal purposes as far back as the time of the ancient Egyptians and Hebrews.

2 Kings 9:3
Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

---In the Old Testament, the process of becoming a king is to be anointed with oil by someone chosen by God. The similarity here from Mary anointing Jesus may be that he is the new king. In this version (gospel of Mark) of the story, the name Mary is not mentioned. However, below I will give you passages that name her. Right now I will show that Washington D.C. is the shape of a square (box) inside of Maryland. (And Virginia)

Virginia - Maryland
Now, notice on the picture above of Washington D.C. that shows the Potomac running through the square. If the woman is the 'Virgin Mary' (Virginia - Maryland) and her box is Washington D.C. pay attention to the broken box and the fact that the Potomac River essentially 'breaks' our Nation's Capitol. Then, notice this verse again from Mark 14:3 "and she brake the box, and poured it on his head." This might not be that surprising to you, except that the Capitol of the U.S. is Washington D.C. and the word 'Capitol' comes from the Latin capite meaning...head! It follows, then, that this is a Masonic story of allegory! Look at the picture again and think of Capitol as head and the 'broken' box and then read the verse again! Then the Potomac flowing through the Nation's Capital (head in Latin) like anointing oil out of a broken box!

John 11

1Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

---Here, the author of this gospel points out that Mary and Martha are sisters and that it was Mary that anointed the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.

---Matthew 26 has a similar version, but doesn't refer to her as being named Mary. But it does say that the ointment is 'very precious'. If it is ointment fit for anointing a king, then very precious it is, indeed.:

Matthew 26

7There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Luke 7

36And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.37And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Luke 10

38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. 40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

---It is important to point out that Mary is at Jesus' feet. Martha is the one busy about the house. Jesus says that Mary "hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Is the statement at his feet referring secretly to a piece of land? Also the statement: "one thing is needful..." Is this a reference to Maryland being the home of the Nation's Capital? Luke 7 which holds the story of Mary also has a story of a sick man who "loved his nation":

5For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue

(In this verse 5 are they speaking about a place of law? Probably)

Martha Washington

---Martha Washington could conceivably be one who was busy about the house (George Washington's wife) and it fits that the gospel relates the story that Martha invited him into her house, since Martha was a wealthy land owner

---while Mary, since she was at the Master's feet and anointed him as king, could definitely be a Masonic reference to Maryland's square, Washington D.C. the place where our president (king) resides and our Nation's Capitol.

Alabaster:
noun 1. a finely granular variety of gypsum, often white and translucent, used for ornamental objects or work, such as lamp bases, figurines, etc.

---Notice the definition that alabaster is used for ornamental objects and is often white (and translucent) then look at the monuments in Washington D.C.:

jefferson memorial

Lincoln Memorial

---Those are just a few examples of the ornaments in the alabaster box. Below is probably the most important one. It corresponds with this bible verse:

1 Samuel 2:10

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Washington Monument

--- The Washington Monument is an obelisk, and is similar to the shape of a horn, biblical (masonic) symbol of power. In this case, probably the national power of the world. The LORD of the world and the anointed King.
